Supplying graphic design to Bury Council, and getting a visit from the Mayor….

We were delighted to receive a visit to the studio from the council leader Mr Mike Connolly and the Chief Executive Mike Owen. After our initial first job for Bury Council we have been involved a quite a few design and print projects for them, Bury Council love to use local suppliers and this is something that is on the Hypa Concept’s business plan, to connect with local businesses and see our great work in and around the local area.

Possibly a sign of narcissism, but we love to see our work in the public domain, it’s great when your hard work is finalised and out there for people to connect with.

So the visit from the two Mike’s was to see just how we worked. Where the graphic design in Bury for the council is created and where Hypa Concept Towers is. As a pro-active council they also came and asked ourselves questions. Mainly of how the council could help one of its local businesses further…

We would also like to offer our congratulations to Mike Connolly on his upcoming role as Mayor of Bury. Since taking up his role as leader of Bury Council in 2009. He is soon to take charge as Mayor of Bury in May 2016.

Ps. Please don’t mention that Mike makes our Creative Director Mark look like he is stood in a ditch. If you see Mike, you will realise that he is an incredibly tall man…..

New year, new work, new website… this time we have treated ourselves, and we are really rather pleased with the results…

So we have just launched our new website. So we shout from the rooftops that we build the best websites in Bury. We needed our own website to prove that statement. We also needed to showcase some of the fantastic work we have been creating. So the site has been developing for the past 5-6 or so months.

We are back with a brand new design, with new updated work. Fully responsive that looks great whether viewing on desktop computer, a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

We have big plans for Hypa Concept in 2019, we’re in the middle of some great new projects already, but we are also exploring which avenues work best for us, what we do best and concentrating on making ourselves even better.

Websites Bury

With the new website comes showing off the new work previously not on the old website, and we kept a few of the old blog posts so the page doesnt look to bare, plus wrote a couple of new articles on social media and responsive web design. we also have this first post which is what you are reading right now. We’ll be posting regularly articles here on all the major goings on in the studio at Hypa Concept. Our latest work, logos and website designs. Plus our opinions on anything from the greatest biscuit to have a brew with or music that we are playing on our Spotify soundtrack.

Trusted brochure designers, meet our trusted partners. We work with people we can trust – Credo Business Network.

Credo is a networking group made up of people in business who know each other well, working together and recommending each others services and companies regularly. Hypa Concept are involved as an active member of the group. But also, involved in creating the whole brand and logo for the network. A solid identity which was then developed into a useful marketing tool for all members to leave with their clients.

So we find this group another great way of marketing our business, reaching clients that we may not have any connections with at the present time. The logo design is based on the extended number of people looking out for your business. For instance, the C in the icon is growing with the help of the fellow members.

The idea of the brochure came around as people, even in todays digital age still love to receive print. Actual printed material placed in their hand. When a Credo member goes in to see a client. He or she can leave a brochure behind which details the skills of the other trusted members in the group. Simple, no fuss, have a look at what some other businesses could do for you. Not only do they view all the members profiles within the brochure. They also notice the slick design and quality print of the brochure. A winning situation for ourselves as we also printed the brochure.

This helped in the design, as people wouldn’t know the person who was being recommended. The easiest way of identifying someone would be a name card, or some sort of identification. With this idea we developed a lanyard type identification pass. We used this throughout the brochure next to each members details. With the design applied to the 20 page full colour brochure.

Are you looking for brochure design in Bury?

Terry Robinson is an English football chairman and director who has previously worked at Bury, Sheffield United and Leicester City Football Clubs. His new venture also needed a logo design.

Obviously Terry knows his football. However! he also knows just how to get his new company noticed with some stunning branding and print. Three Sports Management are a new emerging team based in Manchester. Looking after the development of young footballers and many football clubs around the country. Although this is a new company they are by no means newcomers to the role of sports agents. All five members of the team having years of experience within the sporting world. Terry knew where to come for logo creation in Bury, and we set about building his exciting brand.

The logo takes the numeral 3 to the heart of the design, there are 3 elements that make the number up plus as the colours blend over one other they create a 4th and 5th colour, there also happens to be 5 people in the team that makes up Three Sports Management…

Our first meeting was straight to the point, they had a possible design that they thought might work as a logo. Being quite polite we did nod our heads in all the right places. But when asked our opinions we talked them in to letting the professionals creating them something bespoke. Allowing them to see the difference in our creative minds and what they had in mind.

Luckily, when they reviewed their options, our ideas won. Having a logo that represents your company in a good light is a massive positive for a business. It can sway a potential client choosing you over your competition. Do you come across as professional, does your brand look tired and dated?

Progression

We have supplied a full stationery pack for Three Sports Management. The logo creation by ourselves works fantastic on all formats from print to digital media.

We look forward to working closely in the future with Three Sports Management, and possibly enjoying some corporate box hospitality! (Hint).

Strictly Waxing, a second build since their launch from Hypa Concept, the creative website designers in Bury…

As one of our original clients, we were delighted when the ladies from Strictly Waxing in Radcliffe contacted us. Hypa had originally built Strictly Waxing their first website when they started the business way back in 2010. This was before anyone knew what a responsive site was.

Jolene asked Hypa to deliver a brand new website. The brief, simply make it scale down to fit on both tablets and smart phones. Well the brief was a little more involved but you get the picture.

We used some great features on this website with images and text sliding in to view, testimonials that swipe from left to right, icons illustrating various sections of the business plus animating questions that once they are clicked they animate open to reveal answers and more information. This was all complimented with some bespoke photography of the salons luxury surroundings that really gives the website an edge over all their competitors.

So if Strictly Waxing had a website, why would they need another to be produced?

We do quite a lot of website rebuilds here in the Hypa studio, most clients we speak with say that ‘it needs freshening up’ or that ‘it just looks old fashioned’. Both of these reasons are good ones, don’t think its not, but there are other reasons that you need to have a think of. Mainly, is your website responsive?

This means does it work on a mobile? does it scale down to be easily viewed on a tablet? This is more than likely one of the main reasons you would need a new website to be built. On average anything up to 70% of your websites visitors could now be on a mobile device and if your website is not responsive then this is bad news for your business. Viewers to your site do not want to pinch and zoom into the content of your website when your competitor on the other side of town has a responsive website that is easy to use and navigate. Visitors will pick up on this, leave your site and more importantly buy into the company who is investing back in their own company. If your website isn’t responsive, you seriously need to rethink your marketing and invest in a new website.

On average anything up to 70% of your websites visitors could now be on a mobile device and if your website is not responsive then this is bad news for your business. Viewers to your site do not want to pinch and zoom into the content of your website…

A matter of age…

If your website was built around 5 years ago or even before then. There is a serious chance that some of the techniques used to build it are now defunct. Website coding and development moves faster than a middle aged mans Porsche. Features such as using Flash, which at the time, was a great way of animating a websites images and text. This is now a big no-no in webs design, no Apple device can see Flash. They show up nothing… there is no point with having a site like this. Google also doesn’t recognise these sites. Does your website use Flash? If it does then you seriously need to rethink your marketing and invest in a new website.

If you are considering rebuilding your website or looking for a website designers in Bury. Get in touch with Mark at Hypa Concept. Discuss how we could help you move your business forward with a fresh new look for your digital marketing.
